The Garden of Goddesses

The Garden of Goddesses is a series of murals commemorating the women of mythology—mermaids, harpies, and sphinxes. These powerful, mythical creatures guard a sculpture garden located on the New Jersey seashore. The murals are painted on follies created by artist Andrew Martin from driftwood and other reclaimed materials collected along the beach. In keeping with the recycled theme of the sculpture garden, the artwork is created with discarded house paint. This is an ongoing project that will resume in the spring of 2026.
